Why This Needs Its Own Path
Oriental Orthodoxy is not the same thing as Eastern Orthodoxy. The Coptic, Syriac, Armenian, Ethiopian, Eritrean, and Malankara traditions have their own histories, liturgies, saints, languages, and theological vocabulary.
The app should keep this section explicit so users can study Oriental Orthodox traditions without burying them under a generic Orthodox category.
- - Coptic study: Alexandrian fathers, Coptic liturgy, monasticism, and anti-Chalcedonian history.
- - Ethiopian study: Ge'ez biblical tradition, Ethiopian saints, royal confessions, and distinctive canon questions.
- - Shared path: Christology, liturgy, fasting, monasticism, and patristic continuity.
